Earlier this month, The Scrapbook Page's owner, Maxine Hodges, held the Third Annual Crop for Lupus. The theme this year was The Real Orange Housewives Crop. We had over 50 scrapbookers attend, including Rebecca Peck - Lead Fiskateer, Ken Oliver of UniBind and Wendy Jo Avey - a Fiskateer Legend. Over $4000 was raised and a good time was had by all. I held down the fort at the shop, but slipped out for some of the festivities. I decided to show them what a real West Virginia housewife looked like, so champagne glass in one hand and (fake) cigarette in the other - me and my orange nightgown headed to the crop. This is the layout all about the fun we had.

Here is a little photo collage from our Easter photos. I love all our little Easter Bunny imposters.
Today, I would like to share a layout with you. Liberty is now 8 months old and can sit up by herself. She likes to look at books and adores her big sister. This layout, featuring Liberty, uses Graphic 45 paper's "Once Upon A Springtime" line. I have popped up a frame around the layout. I used Epiphany Craft's "Shape Studio" to make the little button embellishments. The Shape Studio is also perfect to highlight small letters for a title. Currently, there are 2 sizes of hearts and 2 sizes of circles. I love it and you will be seeing lots of these little embellishments on my layouts.

We have had so much rain that we have small puddles everywhere in the yard. My husband got a new riding lawnmower that is sitting, unused in the building for almost 2 weeks now. He is dying to take it on it's maiden mowing. He has gone out and visited it several times. Poor fellow. Of course, I am very thankful that we are safe and dry inside our home. So many people have lost theirs.
Sunday I got to spend some time with "my girls" - Amy, Rosie and Liberty. Rosie mostly hung out with her Pa. Liberty spent part of the day happy and part of the day fighting sleep. She is not at all like her momma. Amy would go to sleep on her own, anytime she was tired. As a toddler, she would vanish, and when you went to check on her, she would be tucked in bed fast asleep. Liberty is back on continuous feedings. She is having some problems with low blood sugar. Amy has to do fingersticks and sometimes give her injections to raise her glucose level. But she looks healthy and is usually a happy girl. The Geneticist feels she has Soto Syndrome.

Her birth hospital ruled this out, but apparently the wrong testing was performed. Liberty will have to overcome many problems in her life, but we will be there for her, and help any way that we can.04/27/2011

It is hard to believe, but last night is the first time I have photographed all three Grandbabies together! I think it is only the second time I have seen all three of them together. Anyway - here are my Angels...

I have a layout I would like to share with you. This is using Webster's Pages Country Estate line. The lacey trim and butterfly cameo are also by Webster's Pages. I "fussy cut" the gazebo and roses on the lefthand corner and popped them up with Fiskars Adhesive Foam Strips. This gives the layout some dimension. I attatched the butterfly cameo with a Glue Dot. I fussy cut the title from another page in the line. Then using a page from the 8X8 Webster's Pages pad I matted the fhoto which was trimmed to an oval shape. Using Red Line tape, I ruffled the lacey trim, Then positioned it on the paper.Hope you like it.

Today "My Girls" came out for a visit. Rosie hunted Easter Eggs indoors. Then she hung out with her Pa watching movies. Amy, Liberty and I played in the livingroom. Liberty turned over today, but she could not quite figure out what to do with her arm and it scared her. She is a cutie. Here she is with one of her new Easter outfits.
